Anyone making payments via bank transfer (BACS) will need to use companies house updated bank details from 1st September 2020.
Following on from the recent change in status of Companies House, from a trading fund to a central government organisation, Companies House must use bank accounts which come under the government bank account scheme.
Taxpayers who need to make a BACS payment will receive letters from 1st September onwards that include the new bank account detail along with instructions on how to pay. Online guidance and emails will also be updated to include the new bank details.
The old bank account will stay open for the new six months in order to allow customers to successfully transition to the new account. The old account will close at the end of February 2021.
